Somewhere in the middle

What do we do when we know where we are supposed to end up, but have no idea how to get there? That tension is at the heart of this message, which takes us deep into the life of David, one of the most compelling figures in all of Scripture.

We see him at the beginning, a young shepherd passed over by everyone except God, anointed for a destiny that seemed impossibly distant from his daily reality. Then we see him at the end, a king who lived a long life full of wealth and honor. But the real story, the part that changes everything for us, is what happened in the middle. This message challenges us to stop demanding that God hand us a detailed roadmap and instead trust Him with the how.

Like a lamp in biblical times that gave only enough light for the next step, as described in Psalms 119:105, God's guidance is not meant to illuminate the entire journey at once. It is meant to keep us walking forward in faith. The middle of our story is not a waiting room. It is a workshop, and God is doing something essential in us right there.
